ಘಟ್ಟದಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಹಾಸನ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ, ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಗ್ರಾಮ. ಈ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಪುಟ್ಟ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ, ಚನ್ನಕೇಶವ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ. ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ಥಶಕ 1117 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಯ್ಸಳ ರಾಜ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರಬಹುದೆoಬ ಊಹೆ ಇದೆ. ಬೇಲೂರಿನ ಚನ್ನಕೇಶವ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವೂ ಇದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದುದರಿoದ, ಘಟ್ಟದಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವೂ ಕೂಡ ಇದೇ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ನಂಬಲರ್ಹವಾಗಿದೆ.ಆದರೆ, ಘಟ್ಟದಹಳ್ಳಿಯು ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಚಾರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಬೇಲೂರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಚನ್ನಕೇಶವಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧಸ ಗೋತ್ರಿಗಳ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಭಕ್ತರಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ಭಕ್ತಾದಿಗಳು ದೇಶದ ನಾನಾ ಭಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದೇಶದಲ್ಲೂ ಕೂಡ ನೆಲಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಂಧರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ದೇವರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ, ಈ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಜರಾಯಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕಾರಣಾಂತರಗಳಿಂದ ಅನೇಕ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ದುರಸ್ಥಿಯನ್ನೇ ಕಂಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ ನಿರಂತರ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸೋರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ದುರಸ್ಥಿಯಾಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುವ ಅಪಾಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಊರಿನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಮ್ಮದಾಗಿದ್ದು ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ದುರಸ್ಥಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಅತಿ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ, ದಿನಾಂಕ 18.09.2022 ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ದುರಸ್ಥಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ನಿರ್ಣಯಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಎಂ.ಕೆ.ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಅವರುಗಳ ಮುತುವರ್ಜಿಯಿಂದ ದುರಸ್ಥಿಯ ರೂಪರೇಷೆಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ದಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ದುರಸ್ಥಿಯ ವೆಚ್ಚ ಸುಮಾರು 15 ಲಕ್ಷವೆಂದು ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ( ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ವೆಚ್ಚ ಶೇಕಡಾ 20 ಅನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಿ). ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಗೋಪುರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಚಾವಣಿಗೆ ಚುರ್ಕಿ ಹಾಕಿಸುವುದು, ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಒಳಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಟೈಲ್ಸ್ ಹಾಕಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಸುತ್ತ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಅಂದಾಜು ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಕಾರ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಣ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಆಫ್ ಬರೋಡ, ಜಾವಗಲ್ ಶಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ( ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್, ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಷನ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ) ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಹರೀಶ್ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಂಟಿ ಖಾತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಖಾತೆಯು ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿಯೇ ವ್ಯವಹರಿಸಲ್ಪುಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಧನಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟಿಸ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು. ಹಾಗೂ ಪಡೆದ ಧನಸಹಾಯ ಹಾಗೂ ವೆಚ್ಚಗಳನ್ನು ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಿಸಿ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿವರಗಳೂ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವೆಬ್ ಸೈಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕುತ್ತದೆ.

Ghattadahalli is a small village in Arasikere taluk of Hassan district. A beautiful little temple in this village, Channakesava Temple. It is believed that this temple was built by the Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana in 1117 AD. It is believable that the Channakesava temple of Belur was also built in the same period and the temple of Ghattadahalli was also built in the same period.
Lord Channakesavaswamy has innumerable devotees especially of Vishnuvardasa gotris and these devotees are settled in different parts of the country and even abroad. Regularly Rathotsava and Pooja also being celebrated.
Presently, this temple is under the control of Mujarai department of Karnataka state. Due to various reasons, the temple has not been in a state of disrepair for many years. Due to continuous rains this year, the temple is leaking heavily and is in danger of collapsing in the coming days, if no repairs are done.
In this context, it is our responsibility to maintain the temple of our town and the repair work of the temple is very necessary.
In this regard, in the meeting held on 18.09.2022, a resolution was taken to repair the temple and there was a good response to this resolution. With the contribution of our Group Engineers Mr. MK Vidyashankar and Mr. Nagaraj, a repair plan was prepared and the repair cost was estimated at around 15 lakhs (adding 20% unexpected cost). Construction of the temple tower, roofing, tiling of the interior of the temple and construction of the compound around the temple are included in the estimated cost.
All of them need their cooperation for this good work. A joint account has already been made in the name of Mr. Nagaraj (Retired Senior Manager, Corporation Bank) and Mr. Harish at Bank of Baroda, Javagal branch for collecting money. This account can be dealt with jointly. Funding will be availed through website only. And transparency has been maintained by entering the funds received and expenses on the website.
